Introducing: No Monster Club

No Monster Club are a three piece group hailing from Dublin, Ireland. The trio create lo-fi punk songs that borrow queues from a number of other genres. The video above for “Be My Bone” has hints of the California pop revival sound a la Best Coast. Other songs include a bit of country (there’s a great fiddle line at the end of “Heart or Culture”) or power pop (via “The Only Living Boy in Mallorca”). The common factor throughout each song is the amount of energy present. No Monster Club’s newest LP, Dublin, is available for pre-order here!

You’d think the world would be saturated with trashy garage guitar-pop at this stage but when it’s as ambrosial as this, resistance is but folly.  

The video to ‘Be My Bone’ is a camcorder postcard from the lads jaunt around Europe last summer, while their upcoming LP is a tribute their home city - Dublin. 

Written by Bobby Aherne the ten track album was recorded with other band buddies under the supervision of Poggy Dillon.
